From Youth Ministers, DREs, Teachers, & Preists
Dear John Paul.......
"I recently had the pleasure of working with John Paul at a retreat in Philadelphia and I was truly impressed with his sincerity of faith, his willingness to engage the participants, his apparent and deep love for the Lord, and his respect for myself, the other presenters and the participants. He is a very talented musician and worship leader who draws you into prayer and he is an engaging speaker. He is a humble man of God who I would strongly recommend to anyone in need of a retreat leader, speaker or worship leader for any event."
Scott M. Anthony, Youth Minister, St. Joseph's, York, PA
Thanks so much for joining our Confirmation Retreat again this year. You are the real deal and teens can see that. They respect it even when your challenge makes them feel uncomfortable. Your kind of discomfort is good for the soul. The adults were impressed too.
Kathy Thomas, DRE, St. Joseph's, Downingtown, PA
Father Brownholtz was very impressed with you and how you work with the teens. He said it was the best day we've had as a group in the past two years and would like to have you work with the group more often.
Catholic Leadership Experience, Chester County, PA
JP, one of the kids - Fred wrote in his letter to the Bishop " A couple Mondays ago, I was at retreat. When I was there, I had a blast of fun. The person that ran the retreat was John Paul. He reminded us on what plan God has for me and only me. He also told us that no one can make you do anything; it is you that makes yourself do it. Then, he told us about peer pressure. He also told us to listen to your parents because you could get hurt or get into trouble. As you can see. I learned a lot at the retreat. Fred

The comments I have received thus far on the retreat from parents and teachers has been solidly positive and in fact very enthusiastic. Kids have been sharing a lot with their parents and they have been very enthusiastic.
Dan Rackers, DRE St. Cyril of Jerusalem, Jamison, PA
Just a note to of course say a belated THANK YOU for coming out to St. Elizabeth on Feb.11th to meet w/our F-L-Y youth group. I heard nothing but positive feedback! One Mom wrote to me immediately afterwards and said "I don't know who that guy was that you had come to the meeting, but my daughter came home so excited talking a mile-a-minute about what he shared. Thank you so much for bringing him to our group".
Diane Hogan, Youth Minister, St. Elizabeth, Downingtown, PA
I just wanted to let you know that we had an awesome time with you on Friday. The kids really enjoyed themselves and some of them even indicated that they visited your website over the weekend. God Bless you as you journey with Christ.
Anita Marko, 8th Grade Teacher, St. Jude School, Chalfont, PA
Thanks for the great retreat! All the students had a great time. We had to play 'Jesus Says' in class on Sunday and they paraphrased the final story you told. What an impact you had on them. We will be contacting you about one for next year.
Sue Stevens, DRE, St. Patrick's, Kennit Square, PA
We are again indebted to you for another immensely Spirit-filled retreat. I honestly feel woefully inept at thanking you publicly because words can not express our sentiments as we are overcome with emotion. Parents and students alike were so grateful for all the faith you imparted. You and your family are incredible examples of what it is like in 2007 to live in the image of the Holy Family. Your gifts are amazing and we feel very blessed to have you as a faith leader and role model for our sixth grade students on this special day. May the Lord continue to bless your ministry and family abundantly!
Dianne Skripek, DRE, St. Basil the Great, Kimberton, PA
Thank you for spending the morning with my eighth graders during the retreat experience. It was very good, and the kids really enjoyed each segment. I think they also got a lot out of the retreat, and I did too! I appreciate the careful planning that you did, and the prayerful way that you led the class. Reaching teenagers is a gift, and I think you have been blessed with this gift. God bless you, your family, and your work. I look forward to planning next year's retreat with you.
Denise Travers, BVM School, Darby, PA
Thank you for your ministry and enhancing our worship of Jesus in the Eucharist.
Sr. Mary Annette Gailey & Liturgy Committe of Nazareth Academy HS, Philadelphia, PA
I just want to thank you for your wonderful retreat. The children in our confirmation class really enjoyed themselves. I think you had them exactly where you wanted them. I cried when they all went up and prayed around the cross together as a group. The whole day was beautiful, and I just wanted you to know. We would like you to come back for us again next year.
Michele Hundermark, DRE, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Morton, PA
I just wanted to drop you a line to say thank you for a wonderful retreat on November 5th at St. Ignatius in Yardley. Keep up the great work that you do. It is appreciated.
Beth A. Alfaro, HS Youth Group Leader, St. Mary of the Lakes, Medford, NJ
It was great to see you this weekend for St. Al’s retreat. The teachers are still raving about the day and all that you brought to it. We really appreciated all your hard work and the kids loved it!
Heather Miegur: Cluster 77 Youth Minister
Thank you for doing such an outstanding job at my meeting presenting the retreat models to the Youth Ministers & DREs. I am still getting comments on how helpful the meeting was. ...
