Dear John Paul.......
"I recently had the pleasure of working with John Paul at a retreat in Philadelphia and I was truly impressed with his sincerity of faith, his willingness to engage the participants, his apparent and deep love for the Lord, and his respect for myself, the other presenters and the participants. He is a very talented musician and worship leader who draws you into prayer and he is an engaging speaker. He is a humble man of God who I would strongly recommend to anyone in need of a retreat leader, speaker or worship leader for any event."
Scott M. Anthony, Youth Minister, St. Joseph's, York, PA
Thanks so much for joining our Confirmation Retreat again this year. You are the real deal and teens can see that. They respect it even when your challenge makes them feel uncomfortable. Your kind of discomfort is good for the soul. The adults were impressed too.
Kathy Thomas, DRE, St. Joseph's, Downingtown, PA
Father Brownholtz was very impressed with you and how you work with the teens. He said it was the best day we've had as a group in the past two years and would like to have you work with the group more often.
Catholic Leadership Experience, Chester County, PA
JP, one of the kids - Fred wrote in his letter to the Bishop " A couple Mondays ago, I was at retreat. When I was there, I had a blast of fun. The person that ran the retreat was John Paul. He reminded us on what plan God has for me and only me. He also told us that no one can make you do anything; it is you that makes yourself do it. Then, he told us about peer pressure. He also told us to listen to your parents because you could get hurt or get into trouble. As you can see. I learned a lot at the retreat. Fred
Linda Tonelli, DRE, St. Alphonsus, Maple Glen, PA
The comments I have received thus far on the retreat from parents and teachers has been solidly positive and in fact very enthusiastic. Kids have been sharing a lot with their parents and they have been very enthusiastic.
Dan Rackers, DRE St. Cyril of Jerusalem, Jamison, PA
Just a note to of course say a belated THANK YOU for coming out to St. Elizabeth on Feb.11th to meet w/our F-L-Y youth group.  I heard nothing but positive feedback!  One Mom wrote to me immediately afterwards and said "I don't know who that guy was that you had come to the meeting, but my daughter came home so excited talking a mile-a-minute about what he shared.  Thank you so much for bringing him to our group".
Diane Hogan, Youth Minister, St. Elizabeth, Downingtown, PA
I just wanted to let you know that we had an awesome time with you on Friday. The kids really enjoyed themselves and some of them even indicated that they visited your website over the weekend. God Bless you as you journey with Christ.
Anita Marko, 8th Grade Teacher, St. Jude School, Chalfont, PA
Thanks for the great retreat! All the students had a great time. We had to play 'Jesus Says' in class on Sunday and they paraphrased the final story you told. What an impact you had on them. We will be contacting you about one for next year.
Sue Stevens, DRE, St. Patrick's, Kennit Square, PA
We are again indebted to you for another immensely Spirit-filled retreat. I honestly feel woefully inept at thanking you publicly because words can not express our sentiments as we are overcome with emotion. Parents and students alike were so grateful for all the faith you imparted. You and your family are incredible examples of what it is like in 2007 to live in the image of the Holy Family. Your gifts are amazing and we feel very blessed to have you as a faith leader and role model for our sixth grade students on this special day. May the Lord continue to bless your ministry and family abundantly!
Dianne Skripek, DRE, St. Basil the Great, Kimberton, PA
Thank you for spending the morning with my eighth graders during the retreat experience. It was very good, and the kids really enjoyed each segment. I think they also got a lot out of the retreat, and I did too! I appreciate the careful planning that you did, and the prayerful way that you led the class. Reaching teenagers is a gift, and I think you have been blessed with this gift. God bless you, your family, and your work. I look forward to planning next year's retreat with you.
Denise Travers, BVM School, Darby, PA
Thank you for your ministry and enhancing our worship of Jesus in the Eucharist.
Sr. Mary Annette Gailey & Liturgy Committe of Nazareth Academy HS, Philadelphia, PA
I just want to thank you for your wonderful retreat. The children in our confirmation class really enjoyed themselves. I think you had them exactly where you wanted them. I cried when they all went up and prayed around the cross together as a group.  The whole day was beautiful, and I just wanted you to know.  We would like you to come back for us again next year.
Michele Hundermark, DRE, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Morton, PA

Dear John Paul......
I was at the Shrine yesterday and was blessed by your presentation. I'd like to make a donation to your ministry. You will be in my prayers. I have been lead for many years to encourage young people to know and love their Catholic faith. I am grateful to you for your work. Thank you for planting seeds in those kid's hearts yesterday.
Christine, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Doylestown, PA
I just wanted to say thank you for making my day yesterday.  My son had his Confimation retreat and had been struggling for a couple months now about if there really was a God or not.  This was very upsetting for me and I didnt know how to convince him.  He came out of church after the retreat and I asked him how it was, and he said "He gave me reasons to believe in God again".  I could have cried. Thank you so much for what you do and giving back my son his faith. God Bless you.
Helen, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Doylestown, PA
Just wanted to let you know that your wife is an awesome person. We were on the Attelboro (Steubenville)retreat as chaperones and she was an inspiration...My family is going to try to see you in person at one of your retreats.

I just wanted to let you know that my grandkids truly enjoyed the confirmation retreat. You did a great job. one enjoyed it so much that he started to talk about his retreat experience during our family therapy session last week  He shared that his experience with the  men in his life  has not been so good . So he asked the Therapists "Does being a man mean that you have to be aggressive and drink?" He thought that JP was a nice guy. and thought maybe not. Thank You
Mary, St. Cyril of Jerusalem, Jamison, PA

I attended the St. Pius Confirmation retreat at St. Charles last week, and wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your program. The activities you chose as well as the topics you discussed seemed to really reach the students, and I left feeling very inspired and touched. You really have a gift for music...and got the children involved as well, (even though some didn't think they would sing!)
Sue Clancy, St. Pius CCD Aide, Broomall, PA

Hi. My name is Tina from St.Hilary of Poitiers school. You visited our school for our Confirmation retreat, and spoke to us about God. I loved the speech! You're so funny, and so affective! When you told us that story about our son being a blood doner to a mystery flu cure, mostly all of the girls cried.( boys are too "manly" to cry, I guess), but it made all of us feel how important church is. You're awesome, and thank you so much for comming to our school.
Tina, St. Hillary, Rydell, PA
I was at the ST.Hillarys retreat that you did.  I think it was great and I learned a lot out of it  . I am 11 years old  and in 5th grade. MY family and I attend mass every Sunday and I personally  love going to mass. I have a mom a dad and 3 brothers. I am also a guitarist I play acoustic and I write my own songs and  sing them. I skateboard and play football.  I can not wait to make my Confirmation I really would like to become a fuller member of the Catholic church. My Conformation name is Anthony who is also my favorite saint . I think it is great what you do how you teach people about how to be a good Catholic and a good person, you defiantly taught me.
Kyle, St. Hillary, Rydell, PA

Veronica, St. Eleanor, Collegville, PA
hi, i was at St. Agnes on the 6th and all what you said just inspired me. I thought about everything a lot and you changed me as a person. I just had a question to ask you.
Dan, St. Agnes, West Chester, PA
Thank you for coming to our retreat. You made it really fun. I really appreciate you helping me realize what it really means to be a Christian and how hard of a sacrifice it is when you have to do the right thing. When we knelt in front of the picture of Jesus and told Him honestly if we wanted to come closer to Him, that really helped me. I realized that I was a fake, but I wanted to come closer to Jesus. I just did not know how. It took me a while to admit it but I finally did. I really felt like He was actually listening. Thank you for helping me go deeper in my faith. I feel like I can talk to Jesus about anything now.
Christine, St. Basil the Great, Kimberton, PA
....a great man who can make miracles with music

Deidre, Blessed Virgin Mary School, Darby, PA
Someone asked me the question who is someone that i look up to and i said i just met him and he is a really good guy and his name is John Paul and he asked why , i responeded saying that he is really dedicated to his job and his family and it made me want to help other people and it made me feel good about myself !!!!
Anthony, St. Cyril of Jerusalem, Jamison, PA
I went to your retreat and i loved it! I now think of going to CCD and chuch as a time for me and jesus-not a boring class that my parents forced me to do. I learned that i can start a reltionship with God even though i have trouble going to church every week.
Michelle, Plumstead, PA
A few months ago, you came to St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church in Medford, New Jersey for a Confirmation retreat. You really changed my life, and I want to say thank you. About a year ago, I was doubting the existence of God, and I was on the path to becoming agnostic. Then, I started my last year in PREP and became more interested in my religion. After your retreat, I decided that God IS real and that I love him with all my heart. Now, I want to become even closer to God. I am currently reading the Bible daily (started from page 1) and going to church weekly.
Angela, St. Mary, Medford, NJ
Ever since you came to St. Thomas of Villanova, and spoke to us soon-to-be-confirmed 6th graders, my life has been fully changed. And no, i am not writing this e-mail because my parents made me, i am writing it because i felt i really needed to. If you give amazing talks like you did for me all the time, you must really be busy. I just have a few things to say. One, i cannot even put into words how much you've impacted me. Every day, something else you told us pops up into my brain. I am so happy and proud to have listened to someone like you. I am spreading the word of Christ and am no longer afraid to be called the "Christian Loser." I really want to thank you, i pray that you can change other's lives like you have for me.
